About This Program

This major, taught in English, is aimed at cultivating international business talents who understand
Chinese Culture and Society, and can adapt to economic globalization and recognize the characteristics of
the digital age with a good master of international business management theory and practical knowledge.
Students of this major can formulate international strategies and conduct international
marketing, international human resource management, and financial management to run
international operations. Students can communicate in Chinese, and be proficient at interaction,
coordination, and intercultural communication in English with a global mindset and innovative spirit.
Students can engage in international business operations and management in those organizations like
foreign trade enterprises, multinational companies, and government agencies.
The specific objectives are as follows:


I.1. Morality Cultivation: Students are developed to be credible and abide by the law with sentiment in
China, moral integrity, excellent psychological status as well as sound and healthy personality.
2. Professional Qualities: Students are cultivated to possess solid theoretical knowledge of
international business operations and management, international perspective, awareness of
international cooperation, and commitment to business ethics and social responsibility.
3. Professional Competence: Students are cultivated to be able to identify the contemporary
characteristics of environments, to seize business opportunities, to manage international enterprises, to
identify, analyze and solve international business problems by applying analysis techniques and
methods, and to communicate across cultures.
4. Innovative Practices: Students are encouraged to be innovative, to explore, practice and learn
continuously, and be able to engage in entrepreneurial practices.

The specific requirements are as follows:
1. Chinese Skills: The Chinese Proficiency should reach the Lever 4 of Chinese Proficiency Grading
Standards for International Chinese Language Education.
2. Moral Quality: Students should have the sense of abiding by the law with active life values, healthy

personalities, honest quality, sense of business ethics and social responsibility as well as the sentiment
in China.
3. Basic Theories: Students are required to master the basic principles of and the advanced research
development covering economics, management, international trade, strategic management,
International marketing, international human resource management and financial management.
4. Business Insights: Students should have the capability of observing the opportunities and
challenges brought by the world development and environmental changes, technological evolution and
business environment changes, and be able to understand the influence on international business and
management basic logic caused by the digital age and world structural change.
5. Analysis: Students can independently collect, analyze, and learn new knowledge through books,
reference materials and modern information technology, grasp the basic tools and methods of
qualitative and quantitative analysis in international business management, master the methodology of
doing market and enterprise research, and applying Big Data and AI mindsets to make business analysis
and decision.
6. Business Management: Students should have the knowledge and ability to do international
business operations and international business activities, and be skillful in locating, analyzing and
solving problems in practice.
7. Cooperation & Communication: Students should possess cross-cultural awareness, be able to
communicate and cooperate in the cross-cultural setting, and do market research, write business
reports and make business presentations in English.
8. Worldwide View: Students should be able to understand international business norms, basic laws
and regulations of international market exploration and investment, and observe the development of
world business environment with an international mindset and vision.
9. Innovation & Entrepreneurship: Students can understand the nature of innovation and possess the
professional innovation mindset without blindly sticking to the old and stereotypes, conduct business
micro-innovation and have a good mastery of the process and factors in entrepreneurship.
