It consists of two campuses with a total land area of about 150 hectares. 1. Disciplines and Programs

GDUFE has developed a multi-disciplinary education system in economics, management, law, humanities, science, engineering and arts, and it vigorously promotes new Liberal Arts disciplines, new Business Disciplines and Interdisciplinary Study. GDUFE offers 66 bachelor programs, among which 18 are listed as “First-class” key national undergraduate programs, and 16 as outstanding programs at the provincial level. There are 1 doctoral degree conferring discipline, 9 first-level disciplines, 1 second-level discipline offering master degree programs, and 18 professional master programs. The total enrollment of full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students is over 32,000.

In the past three years, we have undertaken 315 provincial and ministerial level scientific research projects, including 3 national social science major key projects, 59 national level scientific research projects, and major research projects in philosophy and social sciences of the Ministry of Education. It has won 9 provincial and ministerial level or above scientific research achievement awards and published 829 high-level papers in core journals such as Economic Research, Legal Research, and Managing the World. Focusing on the theme of high-quality economic development in the Bay Area, GDUFE has participated in drafting 6 pieces of local laws and regulations, and provided GDUFE solutions for the reform and opening up and the construction and development of the Greater Bay Area. 113 research and consulting reports have been recognized by municipal and provincial leaders and the Central government, and municipal and provincial government departments and the Central government have adopted 125 research and consulting reports. Also, 70 experts have been employed as decision-making consulting experts for Party and government departments at or above the provincial level, and 3 think tanks have been selected as the source think tanks of the China Think Tank Evaluation and Research Center. Application Procedures

Step 1: Applying. By May 8th (for fall semester), the applicant should submit documents in application website.

Step 2: Qualification Review. GDUFE will review applicants’ eligibility.

Step 3: Interview. GDUFE will interview in English the eligible applicants (internet or face-to-face) at a time and place to be notified later through email.

Step 4: Admission

(1) GDUFE will accept applicants based on their qualifications and interview results, and determine scholarship candidates. The final scholarship winner list is subject to the results announced by the Guangdong Provincial Government.

(2) GDUFE will issue and courier to the candidate the following documents: Study-in-China Certificate, Admission Notification, Information for Admission, and the Visa Application for Study in China (JW202).

(3) Applicants shall pay tuition fee and accommodation fee within two weeks after receiving admission notice, or otherwise it will be deemed as a waiver of admission.

Step 5: Students should apply for a X1 or X2 visa by submitting to the Chinese Embassy or Consulate the above-mentioned Study-in-China Certificate, Admission Notification and the Visa Application for Study in China (JW202). And within 30 days since the date of entering into China, they should change X1 to study residence permit, otherwise, the admission will be canceled. 1. Admitted students should do registration  The international student should pay tuition and accommodation fees on one-academic year basis before deadline.

2. Within 30 days since the date of entering into China, the international student shall apply, with the assistance of GDUFE foreign affairs staff, for the Residence Permit at Guangzhou Public Security Department. If the international student prefers to off-campus accommodation, he or she should apply for permission by GDUFE, and then, with the assistance of GDUFE foreign affairs staff, go through the registration formalities at Guangzhou Public Security Department.

3. Upon successful registration as a GDUFE student, the international student shall, with the assistance of GDUFE foreign affairs staff, accept physical examination at Guangzhou Health Care Centre for International Travel. If he or she is diagnosed as suffering from severe mental disorder, contagious tuberculosis, or any other infectious disease that is likely to cause serious harm to public health, the public security department will handle the case according to the relevant law of the People’s Republic of China.

4. The international student is required to buy insurance under the guidance of GDUFE foreign affairs staff. Any new international student who fails to be insured will not be admitted. Any international student who has already studied at GDUFE but fails to obtain insurance will be required to indefinitely suspend study or will not be registered again.

5. The international student should abide by China’s laws and regulations, respect the Chinese ethics and customs, observe the rules and regulations of GDUFE, and finish study within 4-7 academic years. Guangdong university of finance & economics scholarship requirements.

6. The international student enjoys the same facilities and medical services as the Chinese student, but does not enjoy any scholarship or grant that is provided for the Chinese student only. Any international student who has been registered as full-time undergraduate for bachelor-degree studies, and is excellent in comprehensive performance, can apply for Guangdong Government Outstanding International Student Scholarship (10,000 RMB yuan per academic year).

7. The international student is encouraged to take part in the cultural and sport activities which are beneficial to mental and physical health. He or she can also volunteer to participate in the public services and the events of celebrating China’s important holidays and festivals.

8. Upon approval by GDUFE, the international students can gather to celebrate their own country’s important traditional festivals within the designated location and scope on GDUFE campus, provided that such celebrations do not oppose or attack other countries/nations, or offend public morality.

9. Upon approval by GDUFE, the international students can set up campus clubs of fellowship, and carry out activities within the scope as specified in China’s relevant laws and regulations, provided that such campus clubs are subject to the guidance and administration by the GDUFE Office of Student Affairs.

10. GDUFE respects the ethnical customs and religious beliefs of the international students, but does not provide religious service facilities. Religious activities in any form are strictly prohibited on campus, which include, but are not limited to, missionary and religious assembly. • After the application deadline, GDUFE will organize a panel of experts to conduct application documents review and professional assessment on the applicant. During the process, long-distance or face-to-face interviews will be conducted, if necessary.
• In June 2024, pre-admission results will be sent to applicants via email.
• Between July and August 2024, after confirmation of the list of admitted applicants, admission materials will be posted to applicants according to the address provided by the applicants on the application form.
• Students who are accepted should apply for the X1 visa at their country’s Chinese Embassy (or Chinese Consulate) with the GDUFE Admission Letter and “Visa Application for Study in China (JW202),” and change the X1 visa into a Residence permit for Foreign Students within 30 days after they enter China. Students who don’t apply for the relevant visa and residence permit will have to drop out. GDUFE doesn’t accept students with non-student visas.
• Students who are accepted must register on the date and at the address according to the “GDUFE Admission Notice.” Registration in advance will not be accepted.
• The original graduation certificate, language proficiency certificate, etc., will be checked again at the time of registration. Those who fail to provide certificate documents or fail the certificate verification will have their admission canceled.
