Accommodation

Guangxi Science & Technology Normal University offers a variety of on-campus accommodations for both local and international students. Here's a general overview of the accommodation details:

International students in all programs are assigned 2 students per dormitory room.

Ø 2000 CNYPerson/ Year

1. Types of Rooms:

Single Rooms: These are private rooms where one student resides. They are equipped with a bed, study desk, chair, wardrobe, and sometimes private bathroom facilities.

Double Rooms: Shared between two students. Each student has their own bed, desk, and storage, while sharing other facilities like a bathroom.

Dormitories: Typically shared by 4-6 students. Dormitory rooms are equipped with basic amenities like beds, desks, and storage units. Bathrooms are usually communal or shared among a floor.

2. Facilities:

Internet Access: Wi-Fi is available in most student dorms, and sometimes wired internet is provided.

Air Conditioning/Heating: Most dormitories are equipped with air conditioning and heating facilities to accommodate the seasonal changes in Wuhan.

Laundry Services: Laundry rooms with washing machines are available in or near the dormitory buildings.

Common Areas: Some dormitories have common lounges or study areas for students to relax and socialize.

Canteens/Cafeterias: There are canteens on-campus for students to get meals, including Chinese and sometimes international food options.

Security: 24/7 security service is available to ensure the safety of students.

3. Costs:

The accommodation costs can vary depending on the type of room. Generally, shared dormitory rooms are less expensive than single rooms. For international students, accommodation costs usually range from ¥600 to ¥1200 per month (approximately $90 to $180 USD) depending on the room type and facilities provided.

4. Eligibility and Application:

International students are generally guaranteed on-campus accommodation, provided they apply early.

The application process is typically done during the admission process. Once admitted, students will receive information on how to apply for dormitories.

Some students may choose to live off-campus in rented apartments if they prefer more privacy or space.

5. Living Environment:

The on-campus environment is usually conducive to student life, with easy access to university facilities, libraries, sports facilities, and cultural centers.

Dormitories are often located close to academic buildings, reducing the need for commuting.

The atmosphere is generally communal, fostering opportunities for students to interact with peers from diverse backgrounds.

If you're looking for specific details (e.g., pictures, exact pricing, or rules), it's best to check with WIT's international student office or their official website for the most up-to-date information.
